Did anyone check to see where the storm was coming from.. or if you would be
heading back INTO the storm? Did you radio the dock to see that it was safe
to come back into the harbour before insisting that you go back to the dock.
Boating is dangerous when you don't know what you are doing. I'm sure the
captain did what was best for all involved.
We've had very pleasant trips (3 so far) with this Tour and crew. They are
professional and knowledgeable and I would never consider second guessing
thier direction.
Shoes off on wet floors is a rule. you'd be sueing them for a broken hip if
someone was hurt.
As for rescheduling.. i'm sure they are booked.. and wanted to give you what
you paid for. Most of these tours are NON-refundable. Unless cancelled before
you disembark.
: Hello,
:
: We would like fellow travelers to know about our recent experience with
: Barefoot Sailing in Nassau, Bahamas so as to avoid having a similar
: experience. We will also be posting this email on every website where
: Barefoot Sailing is recommended, as we had a terrible experience, and the
: owner, Eryn, was very unprofessional and unapologetic.
:
: We had booked Barefoot Sailing for a privately chartered sunset champagne
: cruise for our wedding guests. When it started to rain heavily 30 minutes
: after leaving the harbor, instead of offering to go back and reschedule our
: pre-paid 2 hour cruise, the captain put us in the cabin below. He then
: proceeded to stop the boat and keep us at a stand still in the thunderstorm
: for the remainder of our pre-paid 2 hour
