Subject: Our trip to Eleuthera, Bahamas

My wife and I recently spent one week on Eleuthera. We traveled to Harbor
Island where we found the most beautiful pink beaches. We went to Spanish Wells
and had a nice lunch and met a nice native of the island. My wife and I
traveled up and down the island meeting great people and having a great time on
the beaches we found, snorkling and swimming. Only problem we had was our
RENTAL car. We rented from Freddie Fergason whom I would NOT reccomend to
anyone. We paid $60.00 a day for our first vehicle that the windows didnt go
down, and the air conditioning didnt work, our next vehicle was a car that didnt
always start and after 2 days it's fan went out inside the vehicle. Freddie not
only gave us both vehicles with a fraction of gas but was happy to take them
back with half a tank in both and not give us any sort of refund. Rent a
vehicle and be careful, pay more if you have to for a better quality vehicle.
Eleuthera as a whole was wonderful and we loved the owner of BIG ROCK GENERAL
STORE, he always was talktive and his family gave us many answers to our
questions we had about the island.
