We Just returned from this ---cough ---cough ---choke, Gold Crown RCI Resort!

How in Gods name it achieved this status is beyond belief! We had a studio
with a partial kitchen - won it through Sky Auction. The room it's self ---
was OK - Until you consider that after the 1st day - the Phones in our wing
all stopped working - there was a steady flowing water leak coming out of the
ceiling in our bathroom---which flowed down the wall mirror -- over the sink
counter top & onto the marble floors.... This continued for the entire 7 days
we were there - despite having one of the front desk girls come up to the
room & personally look at it! We thought possibly some kids overflowed there
bathtub! NOPE - she proceeded to the 2 rooms directly above ours & next to -
No Water Leaks! Did they fix it? Course not - Would they move us to a room
that didn't flood..... COURSE NOT. Did they fix the phones...YES - the Night
B4 we checked out!

The pool at this place is pretty nice - That is-- while its FULL! Apparently
they had some mis-hap with the POOL Too...it was a pretty scummy green color -
then turned dark brown - they had CAUTION TAPE TIED UP ALL AROUND THE TREES -
that lined the Pool Entrance so those who were color blind...didn't enter
this BROWN FOAMY HOLE they call a pool! After checking in @ the front desk
**Note - they refuse to give you your key or room number until you walk
around the Brown water pool/that's roped off - to the front of the resort (I
use that term loosely) & CHECK IN WITH YOUR PERSONAL RESORT ATTENDANT. This
is for 1 reason only - They badger
you to sign up for TOURS - as many as your willing!!! They also DEMANDED
$20.00 = get this, a DEPOSIT so you HAVE to MEET with your PERSONAL GUIDE -
and then they attempt to BUY one of these JAIL CELLS!!!! OMG! If a resort in
the STates did this - it would be shut down in the 1st month! No gift
certificates for dinner, Lunch, breakfast - no please - no thank you! Just
continual PRESSURE to BUY TOURS & TIME SHARE!

Friends of ours were greeted @ 8AM the next morning by the POUNDING on their
door from not 1 but 2 PERSONAL TOUR GUIDES - Figure they would double team
them...they walked in -Sat on thier bed & REFUSED TO LEAVE THIER ROOM UNTIL
THEY GAVE THEM $20.00 to ATTEND A TIME SHARE MEETING & Sign up for
TOURS!!!!! They caved in w/the $20 bucks just to get them the hell out of
thier room! They still had thier pj's on!!!

** WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU NOT GO TO THIS RESORT!

If you're allready going - Just Remember, We Told you So! BUT DO NOT BUY INTO
ANY OF THE FORCED TOURS OR EVENTS/BEACH PART - FIRE DANCE - SHELL TOURS ETC...
DO NOT GO ON THEM!!!! YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY! WE DID! LEARN FROM US!!
