: around? Is it a good budget vacation? Any suggestions for the girls?
To answer your questions.
1. It is very easy to get around. You can ride the public busses around the
island for $1. or $1.50. If they are staying in the Port Lucaya area, they can
walk about everywhere, but after dark, they should take a taxi.
2. It is usually a good budget vacation. The main tourist area is Port Lucaya
marketplace. At the marketplace, there are 100 shops and restaurants and FREE
live entertainment nightly at 8 PM.
3. Grand Bahama is relatively safe, but like anywhere you vacation, you should
use your head. Don't walk alone in the dark at night, etc. The same rules you
would use if you vacaitioned in Florida or Texas, or anywhere in the U.s.
That being said, Grand Bahama is a popular college age vacation spot, and, just
like any college vacation spot, there ar local guys (I would call them gigalos)
who try to pick up youg women for sex and partying. It is no different from
the U.S.
