Those cheap busses are local, and called jitneys on the island. They are not
allowed in the cruise port, which is reserved for taxis only. Even if you
caught one at a bus stop outside the cruise port the drivers operate
on "island time". Not good for a limited time visit. It is about a 20-25
minute drive from LGCC and would probably cost around $30 for a taxi unless
you are sharing the ride with several others. Greens fees at both LGCC and
the Our Lucaya Reef Course are $130 for non-guests of the resort. I'd call
ahead to get a tee time. Usually they aren't that crowded but there are many
days when one or the other of the two courses have tournaments scheduled. You
don't want to get shut out. Personnally I recommend the Reef Course over LGCC
right now. We were down in January and the Reef was in great shape. LGCC is
also a great course but the greens, for the first time I have seen in many
years, needed some work. Not cow pasture shape but the Reef Course was much
better. Hope this helps.

PS Try going to my old web site. Many links no longer work but the photo
links do in most cases. You'll find hundreds of photos in several GBI albums
and many of them include shots of the golf courses.
