: WE are headed to Island Seas REsort in Nov for 2 weeks.
:
: I am looking for any and all advise, how to get around, what tours to take,
: what to expect. cost of meals.
:
: Can you by liquor in stores? Best way to get groceries to the condo.
:
: any and everything you cal tell me would be great.
:
: Thank you
1. Liquor - there is a liquor store in Seahorse plaza near the city markets
Grocery store. There are also 2-3 Liquor stores at Port Lucaya marketplace.
2. Best way to get groceries to the condo is to take a shuttle or taxi to City
markets at Seahorse plaza, and take a taxi back to the condo.
3. Cost of Meals - Like any vacation destination, eating out can be
expensive. There are several economical places and there are expensive
places. there is a Domino Pizza at Port Lucaya Marketplace. There is a
chinese restaurant at the marketplace that has $5 lunch specials and $9 dinner
specials. Their food is good. Most restaurants serve hamburgers and such.
If you have a car, there are several fast food places (Wendys, Mcdonalds,
Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns Pizza.
4. Best way to get around - A rental car is the best and easiest. You can
rent at Brad's car rental or KSR for $30-$40 day. You can easily save this
much on taxis and tours. One option is to spend 2-3 days lounging on the beach
at Island Seas, then rent a car for 2-3 days to explore the island, then spend
the last 2-3 days on the beach again. I think Island seas has a shuttle to
Port Lucaya Marketplace, but you would need to take a taxi back if out at
night. At the marketplace, there is 100 shops and restaurants, Free live
entertainment nightly at 8 PM and Isle of Capri casino.
