The Victoria Inn looks to be a simple and servicable motel type property. I
have not seen the rooms, but the outside looks OK. They do not appear to have
a large number of guests, but will probably be fully booked for spring break.
My wife and I have owned a condo across the street for 10 years and have never
had any issues with safety. We walk daily and have no issues with safety. You
can walk to Port Lucaya marketplace in about 10 minutes. Or you can ride the
public bus there for $1. The bus stop is right outside the Victoria Inn. The
busses run from 7 AM - & PM. We have walked it hundreds of times and it is
perfectly safe during the day. In the past, we have walked it many times at
night, but I would not recommend it. The streets are not lighted well. After
dark, you would be better to take a taxi from the Marketplace to your hotel.
The Taxi cost is probably $6-$8. At Port Lucaya Maqrketplace, there are 100
shops and restaurants and free live entertainment nightly at 8 PM. Most tours
and activities originate from the Marketplace.
