I just got back from the diamond holidays trip. Overall it was pretty good. I
would like let people know some of the things that did occur:
We booked a glassbottom boat tour, when we got there it was overbooked and it
took a bit of argueing to get a refund (we actually got a written note
explaining what happened and had to get our money back on the boat trip home)
Also, the international bazaar is somewhat hurricane damaged now and only about
half of the stores were open during my trip (June 2006). Port Lucaya was still
a bustleing shopping area though.
I also took the island bus tour on my first day and we did not stop at the
garden of the groves and it only lasted 3 hours because of a late start and
there was no refund offered. I personally could have done without this tour.
I took the "sunset party cruise" The liquor was strong but the food was not too
good (sandwiches, meatballs, chicken wings)so eat before you go, it also lasted
only 2 hours even though it advertised as three. But it was fun while it lasted.
My advice is don't expect too much and you will be satisfied.
