Subject: Moving to Long Island

We will be moving to Long Island in a couple of years, but I would like to
live there for 4-6 months just to see if this paradise island is for real!!
Can anyone help me with any info on renting a house in Long Island? Also I
wanted to bring my car and 2 dogs with me, any info on getting either to Long
Island? I know about permits for the dogs, but I have no idea of how to get
them, myself and my car there. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
