BABY OIL

I have a place on Eleuthera and I suffer from the dreaded no-see-ums as well.
One day,in desparation I slathered on a layer of baby oil and found that the
dratted little teeth with wings can't penetrate the layer of oil. If you're
headed to the beach, use an oil based sunscreen for the same effect. Lotion
types don't work.

You'll end up with the little black "freckles" on your skin, but you don't
have to spend a fortune on expensive bug sprays that smell bad and are nasty
chemicals.

I keep a little spray bottle full of plain old cheap babyoil and apply it when
the wind is calm, early in the day and around sunset. Works great for me.
