You can easily ride a bike to Palmetto Point approximately 6 miles. It is
flat, flat, flat and there is a good road (Banks Road)on the Atlantic side of
GHB that will take you to Palmetto Point with less traffic than Queens
Highway. Ten Bay Beach would be quite a haul but there are other beaches
outside of GHB you could easily access by riding a bike. Just head out and
take any road that leads to the ocean, you'll find one! You could hire a taxi
if you want to go somewhere for a short trip. I know of no organized trips to
Harbour Island or snorkeling. Hopefully the Duck Inn will have some snorkeling
gear for you to use and you can do great snorkeling off any beach in the GHB
area. You may want to post on eleu.net for advice on the kayaks. I don't know
of any. You might check with the Duck Inn to see if they have one. Have a
wonderful trip.

I will be staying at the Duck Inn for a week this May. I am really hoping NOT
: to have to rent a car. Is it possible to bike around to places like Palmetto
: Point or Ten Bay Beach, or is the terrain inappropriate? Also is there any
: kayak rental from Governor's Harbor?
:
: One more question...are there any organized day trips to Harbour Island or
all
: inclusive snorkel trips that go there based out of Govenor's Harbour?
:
: Thanks alot!
