Hi:
Jellyfish, sharks, etc. should not be a problem that close to shore. Sharks
may be attracted if you spear fish, and keep them in the water. After all, it
is their home, and you are taking food from their backyard. But they should
not bother you otherwise.
Catching lobster is an art; you should look in reefs, and their antennae poke
out of holes; If you approach, they go deeper. Contact locals when over there
how to do it.
Bug are not a problem usually during the day, unless there is no wind, which
is rare. They come out at dusk, though, so you may have to retreat, or use
spray,or whatever else.
Crime is very low, compared to cities in the states, but you should not leave
windows open during the night because of the no see ums, or bug.
