Stella Maris resort is located on the southern end of the island. It is
situated on a hill overlooking the atlantic ocean on one side and the south
side as well. The resort is responsible for the airport which is a five minute
drive from your destination.The surrounding area boast beautiful cottages built
on cliffs on the beach.....If quiet time is what you are looking for...this is
it.
The resort offers snorkelling and fishing trips which you will find
enjoyable.The resort also has a restaurant,
To see the most beautiful beach in the world( it was voted among the Travel
channels best) you must go to Cape santa Maria resort( that is also an option
for rooms)The beach is about five mile long with powder sand and an array of
blue seas.Cape santa Maria is a more recently built resort that offer the same
activities.......If i had a choice it would be Cape sabta Maria...you can
search it online for the resort using the same name.This resort offers a
restaurant and some nightlife....however one down fall...(it may not be one for
you)be prepared to spend alot on dining........

I am not too sure about car rental...howver the resort will happily arrange
this for you if requested.....the locals are VERY accomodating and friendly...I
have lived there for 18 years.
