: I took my family to Paradise Island last year but I want to go to a different
place in the Bahamas this year. I am looking for a remote beautiful place, one
with very few people, a comfortable clean place to stay on the beach, with
nothing to do except swim, fish, snorkle, read, etc., and safe. A place that
will make me want to go back and buy a place. Is Cat the place? Thank you for
any help!

: : Mike - If you get this before you leave, go bonefishing with Nathaniel
Gilbert
: : in the southern part of the island. He's at Devils Point 973-621-2247. My
: : wife and I did great with him last April. Lot's of wading. We stayed at
: : Fernandez Bay Village which was awesome. Definitely go there for lunch,
dinner,
: : or a drink. There's a fantastic creek system just south of there that has
lots
: : of bones and cudas on a low tide and some cool blue hole snorkeling. We
had a
: : couple wonderful days kayaking back in there. Also, the Hermitage is a
: : fantastic vista, make the trip, it's worth it. And check out the Bluebird
: : (little shack near New Bight) for dinner/lunch, great food.
: : We're looking at Long Island for this April. Possibly the Cape Santa Maria
: : Resort on the north end. Any suggestions?
: : Have a great time on cat.
