:Hi Dave,
I was wondering if you knew of hte grocery store situation at the northern end
of Eleuthera? We will be flying into North Eleuthera and would like to purchase
some dairy goods.
Thanks for any information you may have.

: Fresh red meat, especially of the quality you're used to in the states, can
: be tough to find. The groceries in Governor's Harbour will have frozen
: hamburger available, fresh pork, etc. It's not a bad idea to pack a cooler
: with some fresh-frozen hamburger patties, steaks, chicken breasts, etc.
: Staples like hot dogs, buns, bread, veggies, fruits, canned soups, pasta,
: tomato sauces, etc., are readily available, as well as all the condiments
: you'll need. (Don't waste precious packing space on mustard!)
:
: Dairy products are expensive (actually, everything's expensive), and supplies
: wax and wane depending on the boat-delivery schedules. (Things tend to run
out
: late in the week and over the weekend, get replenished Tues.-Weds.) If your
: kids demand chocolate milk, might not be a bad idea to pack a big can of
: Hershey's powder and mix it with milk from the store.
:
: There are two modest grocery stores in Gov.'s Harbour, about 5 minutes from
: where you're staying, and a pretty good one down at Rock Sound, about 40
: minutes south. Sometimes we head down there the first day we're on the island
: and stock up, then supplement with supplies from the closer stores.
:
: You're also right down the road from the best restaurant around,
