Re: Spanish Wells and Harbour Island
I think it would be a wonderful idea to see Eleuthera. Spanish Wells is more
quiet, but is a terrific fishing area; however, it does have several
restaurants and a bar (on nearby Russell Island which is attached by small
bridge to Spanish Wells.) Spanish Wells is known as the fishing capital of the
Bahamas. There is also a large duty free liquor store at Gene's Bay - just 1/2
mile away. There are many little cays and islands to explore in the area.
Spanish Wells Yacht Haven accommodates yachts. Harbour Island has more going
on. It is a lot more busy and the activities are very near the marinas.
