Message:

I am an executive recruiter who grew up in Nassau. I have a client client that
is looking for an island manager to manage their Nassau operations. The
successful candidate will have management oversight of over 35 staff in their
headquarters in downtown Nassau. On the same premises is a marshalling yard
where stevedores, customs officers and others are at work. Supervision of all
personnel on the client’s leased facilities, including responsibility for safe
throughput of inbound and outbound cargoes, the reduction of pilferage, and
the efficient transit of cargo will be the manager’s responsibility.

Innovative solutions to daily and long-term challenges, as well as the ability
to interface with all level of clients and vendors are an integral aspect of
this job. In particular the client is seeking local knowledge which will
engender respect and streamline processes.

They seek proven management skills (i.e. in administration, HR and Sales) in
the local work environment. While shipping experience would be good, it is
secondary to management abilities.
